Webhooks connect an event producer to an HTTP receiver. The receiving system must understand the sender’s verification method, event identity, and delivery behavior before it can process messages reliably. Receipt and completed business work are separate milestones.
Read these guides to plan duplicate handling, bounded request processing, and useful delivery evidence. Do not assume that messages arrive once or in order unless the provider explicitly promises it. Design a reconciliation path for uncertainty so the integration remains understandable during delayed deliveries or downstream failures. Review question: How will the receiver recognize an authentic repeated delivery and distinguish accepted work from processing that has reached its final result?
